The Greenway Voghera–Varzi in the Atlas of Italy’s Cycle Routes

The Greenway Voghera-Varzi has been officially included in the Atlas of Italy’s Cycle Routes, an important volume published by Terre di mezzo that brings together 100 spectacular cycling itineraries throughout the country, from North to South, designed both for cycle tourism and for those who wish to explore Italy on two wheels.

“Ciclovie d’Italia” is a reference atlas for those who love cycling: with its 320 pages, it offers practical and detailed information on a variety of routes suitable for gravel bikes, mountain bikes, road bikes and e-bikes, and designed for every level of experience, from day trips to multi-day itineraries. Each cycling itinerary is accompanied by maps, GPS tracks, technical data, evocative photographs and interesting facts that help in choosing and planning the journey.

The volume is intended as a useful tool not only for more experienced cyclists, but also for those who wish to approach cycle tourism and discover the richness of the Italian territory through secondary roads, greenways and lesser-known routes.

Within this scenario of promoting slow mobility, Terre di mezzo is also launching for 2025 the annual questionnaire “Me and My Walk or Cycle Route”, addressed to those who have travelled during the year along the itineraries included in the volume or along Italian walking routes. The aim is to collect travel testimonies and useful data to understand the experience of cyclists and walkers, with a specific focus also on cycle routes. The results will be analysed and presented, together with those on Credentials and Testimonium, during a free public meeting on the occasion of Fa’ la cosa giusta! (13–15 March 2026) in Milan, as part of the Fiera dei Grandi Cammini.

Thanks to the collaboration for the creation of the Atlas, a dedicated questionnaire is planned for the 100 cycle routes included in the volume, including the Greenway Voghera-Varzi. The participation of cyclists and hikers who have cycled or walked along the route in 2025 is essential to contribute to a collective and up-to-date snapshot of this constantly growing world.

We therefore invite everyone who knows and has experienced the Greenway to complete and share the questionnaire, disseminating it through social channels, mailing lists and newsletter.

The questionnaire “Me and My Walk or Cycle Route” is available at the following link and will remain active until 15 February 2026: https://forms.gle/3iCviMPMJALAquBh8

Participation will contribute not only to providing a shared snapshot of the Italian cycle tourism experience, but also to officially highlighting the Greenway Voghera-Varzi in the final report and in the presentation of the dossier, strengthening its visibility and value within the national cycle route landscape.
